Panorama Pozzuoli

From September 10-14, 2025, Pozzuoli will host the fifth edition of Panorama, curated by ITALICS, a vibrant network of leading Italian galleries spanning from 14th-century to contemporary art. Set in the historic and myth-rich landscape of the Campi Flegrei, the event features site-specific works by over 50 international artists, including Maurizio Cattelan, across churches, terraces, ancient ruins, and volcanic terrains.More than an exhibition, Panorama Pozzuoli is a cultural journey that weaves together contemporary art, archaeology, architecture, and nature, creating dialogues between the past and present, the visible and unseen, in Southern Italy. Looking at events like this, I often ask myself: Do we really have anything less to offer than other art scenes? Or is it simply that, for one reason or another, we’ve been less visible or less effective in showing it? The richness is here, we just need to continue creating the spaces that allow it to be seen, heard, and valued.
